Time for a new video card?

[Vikings-N1]

I have a Radeon9000 Pro, I play Q3, WC3, Diablo. I hear Quake 4 should be coming out pretty soon as well as Half Life 2 and Counter Strike 2. When these games come out should my Radeon9000 be able to keep up with them? and if not would buying a new video card now be a waste of money? I was thinking maybe the Radeon9600 XT. I dont have a lot of money to spend on computer stuff so would upgrading now be a good idea or should I just wait? Thanks

just wait, new cards are comming out in a couple of months.

I would just wait now as the new generation of cards arnt far off and that 9000Pro should last till then

Well, the 9800 pro is only a little over $200 now. You can get that card and be ready for future games.

Unless you really want a new graphics board right now, stay with what you have. By the time Q4, D3, and HL2 come out, there will likely be better cards for that same $200.
