TigerDirect/CompUSA has 280's

I don't believe I am saying this, for I have never said anything like this before when a new generation of cards have come out...


BUT... I will be waiting a few weeks at least to see if there is a price drop....

There just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of people who know what these things can do, that really feel it is a justified upgrade at the price list...

Heres to hoping for supply > demand...

I don't think supply will affect the price appreciably as I think Nvidia wanted as much availability as possible and to avoid some of the problems they've had with product launches going wrong in the past due to shortages.
What will affect pricing is when the reviews for the new ATI cards start to come in and if there is going to be a significant amount of price vs performance competition for the 260/280 series(eg if Nvidia looks to be losing market share because of the positive price/performance numbers for ATI).
I hope the price on the 280's comes down at least $100 which would make it a more attractive option although if the 260s also drop they'll be quite the bargain for a relatively smaller drop in performance compared to the 280.
