So I got this game for Christmas for the 360. Really like it compared to 06 on the 360. But I for the life of me cant really figure out how to advance past Rookie. I have unrealized potential that goes past the next level up and I am stuck at Rookie. I have yet to win a tournament but I have done tons of the Rookie Training scenarios. Just wondering if I need to just keep playing tournaments or start doing Tiger challenges and win to go past Rookie. Plus the first tournament is a Champions Event? Seems a little out of place to me for the first Tournament to play as a Rookie. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Play the tiger challenge.

If I remember correctly after you beat the first guy in all 4 brackets you advance to pro.

I could be wrong about how many you have to win, but I know my character is pro and I haven't played a tourny yet.

ok I will try that out. I thought it weird that the first tourny was a champions event. Although I got my Hole in 1 ball in the second round and the Eagle Ball in the same round, also got a Hole in 1 on the 3rd round on the same hole :). But overall still suck.

Yeah, the Tiger challenge bumps your skills up. And you get $$$$ for various things like winning the challenge or greens in regulation, etc. With your $$$$ you can buy clubs, clothes, accessories that boost your skills. I alternate between the challenges and training my skills.

I haven't even tried to do the tour yet as I want to get my skills up to a high level. Right now I'm between 73% and 75% for everything and have beaten all challengers except the last one in each bracket. Those guys are hard. They all seem to be able to chip/pitch from off the green within a yard of the cup. So even if they miss the green in regulation they still one putt alot of holes. I haven't beaten any of the final bracket guys yet. Don't know what it is about TW07 for me but I've played that more than any other game on the 360.....next is probably NHL 2k7.

I hear ya about playing it. i haven't played it nearly as much as you but I got GoW and CoD3 as well and haven't even put them in yet until I get some ground in Tiger. I will stick to the Tiger Challenges now though before hitting the Tour again.

this game seriously pwns. my golfer looks like the lead singer of a death metal band ... it's hilarious beating those retard EA characters over and over again. best golf game i've played since hot shots golf on PSP.

played it last night and got to Pro pretty easily now working my way up to the next rank and should get there tonight no problem. So far I like this one much more than the previous 2 versions I have played. The only issue with my game is the driving, I am really inconsistent off the tee.
