TIGER DIRECT E6700 RETAIL!!!

TigerDirect did great by me, I ordered a E6400 when it was in stock. Later that evening I got an e-mail tellling me it was backordered. 2 days later I got another e-mail announcing the order was shipped. When I got it, I found out they had sent me an E6600 instead even though the invoice listed an E6400. Closer examination of the retail box revealed that someone had placed a sticker that I'm guessing that TigerDirect uses for it's internal inventory purposes listing the item as a E6400. Whoever packed the order totally disregarded the E6600 label that Intel has on the front of the box and just went along with what their own label with UPC code said.

LOL. nice.

I ordered a few parts for my new Conroe system, and had good service from them, but I've read a couple posts from people who ordered the e6700 and then found it backordered when they check on order status. One post was on Tankguys forum. Nice inflated price too.

I have ordered from TD before and they treated me really well.. fast shipping, no problems.. etc.. I like them as an alternative to the egg.

  Some luck!

True or not, anything that takes even the tiniest bite out of NewEgg's smugness is welcome.

Have been hearing from a few people that had Tankguyz preorders and cancelled that when they placed a Tiger order that showed in stock they got back order emails, so i'd call first to make sure.
