Does anyone here have experience with either of these watches, if so, do you like them?

I hear good things about Ticwatch except for updates. Is the OnePlus Watch 2 also bad with updates?

I'm currently using a Pixel Watch 2, but it's too tiny for me; looks like a kids toy strapped to my wrist so I'll probably return it. Battery life is also ass. I know that Google is apparently releasing a larger version of the watch this month or next, but I don't know if I'll get it, I feel like they overcharge for their products.

I've got the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro. I don't use it for near what it's capable of doing. But as noted in all of the reviews that I read before purchase, it is very speedy and smooth. Screen is bright and has great clarity. I'm getting 3-4 days of battery. My primary use is as a replacement for my failed FitBit, the third that I bought, but he fifth that I've had in the past 7 years as two were replaced under warranty. The ability to read and respond to texts/WebEx is nice and I've played a bit with using it as a mic/headset for phone calls. Overall pretty satisfied. I'm sure there is much, much more that I could do with it, and likely will over time. But also note that the more you use it, especially apps, the less battery life you would get.

The complaint concerning "updates" is based on the TicWatch not using the latest version of Google OS. Which unless you are trying to use an app or some special function that isn't supported in the older version, has no impact.

Sadly I learned yesterday that there's no Google Assistant on it. I don't know if that's because it's on 3.5 instead of 4.0 but that might be a deal breaker for me. People had been complaining about earlier watches not being updated and who knows if this watch will go to 4.0.

the watch 2R by OnePlus looks to be solid. I have been happy with my Galaxy watch 5 the large one. 3 days of battery but I don't use the AOD and use a custom watch face that's minimalist

I convinced my mom to get the watch 2R to replace an aging Fitbit. 179$+10% student discount is hard to beat given the chipset, screen and battery life.
