Hey all, hows it goin? I have an MSI Geforce 4 Ti4200 graphics card(128 meg) and it's stock speeds are 250/446 MHz, I've overclocked it to 300/605 MHZ with the addition of a ThermalTake Copper cooler and RAM sinks, is there anything else i can do to OC it even higher while keeping it running good, or is it pretty much maxed out now? Any answers are apreciated . Heat doesnt seem to be a major issue, the standard temp of my card was like 39 degrees celsius (with standard cooler) and now its around 40 full load, and the ambient temp in the case is usually 20-25 degrees. Games just start to run and look bad at higher speeds than 300/605. I also just read a voltage mod guide but thats something I won't be doing until i can afford to replace the card if it goes bung. If it's any help it's AGP4x and the RAM is Samsung brand and rated at 3.3ns. And btw, dont suggest getting a new card as i can't afford to :( lol.

ahh the old 300/600 oc for ti4200, brings back good memories :) unfortunately that is most likely the max of your card. like you said, a volt mod might help you push out an extra few mhz but at your speeds it wont help much.

I've got the same card.. maxed out at 300/600. The stock cooling fan was dying for awhile and it finally kicked the bucket a few weeks ago. I got an Iceberg4 Pro, and i chopped the 4 ramsinks they gave me in half.. so it gave me 8 perfect sized ramsinks. (ramsinks didnt help o/c at all)

any higher and you i get artifacts.. even at 300/600 i get artifacts if i game for a few hours without aircon (not often =D)

On my second box I run an Abit Ti4200 OTES w/64mb. It runs stable at 310/607. Anymore oc'g and I get freeze up, but thats the speed I run it at. Memory speed is the limiting factor.
