Hey guys, I have a Sager NP8170 with 5.1 surround and it comes with the THX Tru Studio software, which actually does improve the sound of speaker setup. I have all the settings set where I am getting pretty good sound, however I dont understand what the smart volume setting does. I have the option of setting it from 0-100 and the only information that I have been able to find so far says: "Adjusts the loudness of your audio playback automatically to minimize sudden volume changes." That part is perfectly clear. What I dont quite understand is what does adjusting the level (0-100) actually do? I have tried setting it at many different levels as well as adjusting it while it is playing, in games and media, and I can not tell a difference. Basically I am wanting to know what the difference is between having it set to 1 and having it set to 100. Thanks.
