THX setup console

What is the optimal distance and angle in the THX console in the Audigy 2zs software for headphones? It sounds good for music (for which the values don't seem to make a difference), but in games the sound seems either to be too distant or too inside my head. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, should I set the windows audio to 5.1 so that CMSS3D can do its magic, or just leave it at headphones?
