Thumbnail Bit the Dust

While playing CS:S my drivers errored out and I got a BSOD detailing the problem with my nv_disp file so I went and installed a different driver and restarted. Now, when viewing folders my thumbnails won't display and when I try to view a picture with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer it wont open... so what's the fix? This is after a reformat so I really don't want to reformat again.

The problem was resolved using

Start -> Run -> regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

If you succeeded you will recieve a message about seccessfully initiating shimgvw.dll. This also works to disable with the exception of /u.

Start -> Run -> regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll

Note that with WPFV disabled, you cannot view thumbnails or use WPFV to view pictures, there's also supposed to be a problem with changing icons as that will not work either.
