I'm always interested in a little friendly competition!
I'm ~1.8 million behind Kendrak and ~1 million behind lassiterb, but why not come from behind FTW?
=) This is going to be fun!
Just think how much more glorious it will be if you win. I included you in the challenge since you are currently putting out quite a bit more PPD than me right now and i'm gonna have to do some serious ramping just to keep from getting mowed by you, and even more if I am going to beat you.
I got a little hardware on the way that will hopefully give me the advantage though.

Off to a bad second day of this battle, my DSL has gone flaky won't stay synced for very long even when it does manage to sync.
Also just ran out of firewood yesterday so gonna have to run the heater more which means higher power bills.

If your neighbors have trees chop them down and use them for firewood. Tell them it's for science.
Have plenty of trees around just no working chainsaw and too many back problems to get out and cut wood right now anyway, live out in the boonies which is part of the reason its hard get a good DSL connection. My DSL is on what they call their extended DSL which they can run a bit farther but has a max speed offering of 512Kbs and costs me about $55 per month (ouch!). Time to call centurytel again so that can come out and check it again, everytime they have been out to check it, it was working at the time they arrived so they couldn't do much to troubleshoot it. They have swapped out my modem and swapped the port I am on back at the CO so looks like it mush be line problems now.
Never the less I shall prevail. You're finally going down Kendrak and styx0r you shall not pass

added (2) 9800GX2s - I've been having problems with heat - tried a tri 9800GX2 box, but heat was too extreme. I've got the GX2s distributed now, and I have a total of 6 running. 18 GPUs in my house. I have (2) 9800GSs sitting unused, and your Q95XX sitting unused. Two ASUS mboards on the way from RMA - so I should be able to hit 100k ppd soon.
Lassiterb - I'm trying as hard as I can - I need to optimize the equiptment I have, and we'll see. My 900,000 point deficit is going to be very difficult to overcome.

Yeah, I've been suffering thru some slow WUs and waiting for these ASUS RMAs is killing me. Status is "Final Testing" - gAH!!! my unused hardware is crying softly.
I've been considering distracting myself with a WC setup for either my Q9550 or my QX6700. 4ghz/core perhaps....

I hit a major milestone (10 mil)
Summer is coming
I will save ~$50 a month of power (not to mention the amount I will save not AC-ing the heat)
Work is slowing up so this will lighten the bills a bit
Will have about 1k in money to invest in new folding hardware in the future.
I'm still going to have a number of system folding...... but I'll be right around 20th on the team +/- a few spots.
I'll probably take a bit of that money and drop a new GTX 280 in my main rig just to make sure I stay in the top 20
I'm not going anywhere, just some proactive moves.

Glad to hear you have taken control of your addiction. I keep telling myself that i will scale back after i hit the next major milestone but the folding bug just keeps biting me harder and i add more D instead of scaling back. Maybe i can make myself slow down after 20mil?

I know that even in colder climates, AC is necessary during the hottest months and DC only compounds heat from the weather outside.
Bad economy is affecting everyone severely.
That's good news. A high-end video card or two will quickly bring your production up to speed.

The 280 is a hundred bucks cheaper than the 285.
Im considering w/c my main rig and putting the radiator outside to get the heat out of the house.
I won't be buying a bunch of new cards anytime soon sine that is the bulk of what im getting rid of.
However a fast single card solution in my main rig will allow me to fold and game and not bother with sli and Xfire. Have to keep the 24" monitor fed with good stuff.
Heck maybe this will be the seed money for a new i5 rig down the road.

Hmm but how does the 280 compare to the 285 in heat generated? The power numbers are pretty similar. I'm probably gonna stick with one main rig for folding. It's pimping out four 9800 gtx+'s + a 9600 phenom. It produces so much heat that the laundry mat dryer didn't dry my clothes all the way so instead of paying it to redry my clothes I folded them and sat them in the back of the computer. Two hours later my clothes were dry!
I might switch to the 55nm 260 they have a nice ppd/w while producing little heat. I just got one in today and it screams while remaining cool.

Man, it must be nice having disposable income. I want to buy a bunch of new hardware and get back in the 100k+ PPD, I used to have that, but had to cut back due to power bill issues, and heat generation. One day I will have a home instead of a small condo and I can set up a separate A/C unit for the downstairs which will be my Distributed Lair Now if only the economy would turn around so I could afford that house!!!
