Threads not showing up as "read".

In the past few days, I've been reading the forums as usual, but the threads I read aren't being marked as "read": the red arrow and boldness don't go away. I'm using Firefox 1.0.3 on Gentoo linux, and I generally open three or four threads by clicking on the red arrow and reading them as they load. However, when I return to the forum index, it shows the same threads as being unread.

I let the tabs load all the way, and even when I post in them it usually shows up as unread.

Any ideas?
 
Firefox has had a lot of problems, but it has been settled that it is not a problem with the forum, just your browser or version of browser. Search in the General Software forum for past threads or start another there for a possible solution.
