M1 Macbook air is great. Have the same 8gb model, posting from it now, and the lesser ram is used much better on arm, and the ssd swap is fast. Choose to not upgrade to newer air/pro since this one is much smaller with no fan and kills Final Cut Pro. Linux support now too.
