My buddy is looking to build a media center of pc. He's not looking for anyhing too drasticallly fancy, but he wants it to slick. He's hoping to spen no more that $60 bucks. What kind of option does he have?

Two words for you: Antec Aria. It's about 2x as much as he wanted to spend, but you can put full-size PCI/AGP cards in it, which you can't do with some of the other ones. Plus it has a huge fan in the power supply which makes it quieter than the 60-80mm fans you'll find in the other ones.
