Currently I have a 160GB Seagate SATA drive which works fine and has plenty of space for me, but its too loud for my taste when its reading/writing.... sounds like a rat knawing through wood....

So Im thinking about runnning two of these Maxtor drives in Raid 0, or two of these WD drives in Raid 0... any thoughts?.

Ive used the WD drive in the past and it seems quiet, but I have had WD drives in the past that develop a high pitched noise after a year or so... and I dont know much about the maxtor drives... I need really quiet drives.

I dont really have the money for a $300 WD1500ADFD?

Computers main use is gaming

So considering I have about $120 spend, whats my fastest, quietest storage option?

Should i just get a 16mb Cache Maxtor diamondmax 200GB for $90?

Who said anything about buying a Raptor 150?
I'm saying that for $100 you can buy a single, faster, larger drive

If quiet is the main priority, Samsung drives are your best bet. Otherwise, I'm partial to Maxtor myself. The 300GB version is around $120 at zipzoomfly - order from there, they pack the drives with foam as suggested by the manufacturers, newegg doesn't. And hey, free shipping.
