I followed the directions from this site:
http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.p...ask=view&id=170&Itemid=1&limit=1&limitstart=5

It really does work and came out perfect :).

too bad the board didn't work though. sigh :(

What thermal paste did you use? I just bought OCZ Vendetta 2 today ($35 - $15 MIR) and cant wait to install it.

Why not apply thermal paste to the CPU, then spread it out and remove excess?

For me that's way way way too much paste. You only need to fill the micro gaps.

I bet if you used less the temps would be better.

its not that much paste my young padawan ;) :p lol

the site said it helps fill in the gaps between the heatpipes since they are exposed, thus decreasing temperatures :).

i just find it easier to apply once and be done. its a lil off on the cpu cause of the way i have the heatsink bolted to the mobo. its not like that when its put on, it just becomes a lil off when i take the bolts out ;)
