The shadows that it enables don't look realistic, I had a hard time seeing anything different except shaded areas on the characters that didn't look very good or natural. It's obviously something id left out for a reason, ie, i don't think it is finished or polished like it would have been if it was a fully supported (in game) feature. That screenshot didn't impress me too much either.
 
I tried it a while ago and it looks decent at times but it is very buggy, that's why id took it out of the final release. I ended taking it out too until a better mod comes along.

I tried it and the textures look better but there is much more aliasing and a performance hit. I removed it.
 
careful with the parrallex bump mapping one doom 3's textures aren't set up for it, there will be artifacts and sometimes missing textures (alot of missing textures)

Bet yoru ass Im still playing it...and having blast still in single player and even more so in multiplayer......reminds me of good old quake 2....god damn that game was too fun
