Anywhere else i can buy these type of speakers for cheaper shipping?
Start Recomending speakers for me.. end of this week i am buying   :D
$150 CAP

I was going to purchase the 2.1's myself. If I played first person shooters without a headset, I would go with the 5.1 system because of the extra speakers to help find direction in games. But I love using earphones for games, so I'd rather stick with a powerful set like the Logitech Z-2300 2.1 THX for my music and movies.

yes i went to compusa because they had these speakers up.. i turned it to halfway, no ratteling or scratches, pure good music and lit up half the store..

i am afraid of getting the 5.1 system because it won't be as good and i would want to buy stands for them, and with stands i would want much better speakers :D

I'm glad you were able to test out the speakers at Compusa first. Were they the 2.1's that you tested? The lighting up of the store part is making my fingers itch for my credit card, and a visit to newegg for those logitechs...

Oh yea..the stand thing. I completely forgot about that. It could all come down to an issue of space and remembering to not knock over your stand =).

2.1 all the way, I was thinking about getting me a pair. Either those or the JBL Creature II's

don't buy logitech speakers. they're awful.

do yourself a favor and get a set of klipsch promedia 2.1s or altec lanscing mx5021s.

if you're going multi channel, the kliplsch ultras or the creative gigaworks

He'd have to double his budget if he went with either of those multichannel solutions - the 5300s aren't that bad for the price if he wants 5.1.

The Klipsch and AL 5021s will be his best choice in 2.1. Also, steer clear of the JBL Creatures too if you care about sound. The Klipsch and Altecs may have a boring look, but they are the best sounding, ~$150 multimedia speakers. I haven't heard the Swans, but head good things above them as well.

ok fellas i was gonna go with the egg, but seems shipping it is a problem for them (15.99)..
so good old bizrate told me pcnation was the way to go... 113.00 was my bill, 2-3 day free shipping :)
i will use this thread to review the speakers, and the test will be how high my mom jumps.. :p
