Pool estimates are based on time intervals and your number of shares provided during an interval (plus variable difficulty to consider as well). Say you average a share every 25 seconds and the calculation is done every 60 seconds. Dashes below mark minute splits. During some intervals you'll submit more shares than other intervals due to work time overlap.
