This loop: hot or not?

I haven't figured out which holes are intakes and exhausts, so don't worry about those. I just drew this to give an idea of what's going on.

Rundown:

Two Swiftech MCP355 pumps
XSPC dual-bay split reservoir
1 120.2 rad (bottom)
1 120.3 rad (top)
EK waterblocks:
CPU (Core i7 930)
GPU (5770)
Mobo (EVGA X58 SLI LE full board block)

Since I won't be o/cing the video card, I figure I can put it on a loop with the mobo on the 120.2 rad, while the CPU gets its own loop with the 120.3 rad for maximum cooling (since I will o/c the CPU.
 
As far as the layout goes it looks solid to me. What radiators did you have in mind though, and what fan speeds? FYI, the Black Ice is basically the king of high CFM fans (1800 RPM and up) while the SR1 and XSPC RX series are the best for low CFM (~1200 RPM). Both are almost a draw - their results are basically within the less than a quarter of a degree.
 
Thanks. MCR320 and MCR220 rads plus whatever fans I have (high-CFM Cooler Masters, probably). Does it make more sense to keep them separate like I plan, or to combine them all so they are all in a single loop?
 
You are going to have major overkill with your setup. One 120.2 radiator could easily cool everything, and a 120.3 radiator would cool everything and leave you room to grow. If money is no object go with what you have, but you could save yourself a bundle by dropping the 120.2 radiator and the second pump from the project.
 
I agree on the overkill. A 120.2 is gobbs of radiator for any CPU, even heavily overclocked. A 5770 can be handled by 120.1 of radiator with no problem and since you are running an AMD or Intel chipset the board block will not add much heat. Scrap the lower rad and the second pump imho.
 
Cool, thanks for the suggestions. I already have everything, so if this is overkill, is it overkill in a good way? Sounds like separate loops are best. A triple-rad on a single CPU turns me on.

Its overkill in a good way. You won't gain any overclocking headroom or other performance benefits by going to two loops, but it will keep your temps a bit lower.
 
I wouldn't really suggest MCRs for high CFM fans. Check out Skinnee's triple radiator comparison. His numbers are for triple radiators obviously but the results should count for 120 and 240 rads as well since most manufacturers use the same design characteristics for each rad in a series. I'm not sure how high you're talking but assuming around 2000 RPM the Black Ice would be much better.
 
The same system, when I was running it, kept my i7 920 below 65c at 4200mhz (Prime), and my pair of 5870's below 42c at 1100 core 1310 memory (Unigine heaven 1.0)

It was overkill for me and will be the same for u.

One thing. I was running gentle typhoon ap15's. I had them on a fc2 so it was pretty quiet. You could hear the pumps over the fans. And the pumps are pretty quiet.

overkill is fine. Rather overkill and pushing the limits of a system. for one thing you can run fans slightly slower and make the overall system more quiet.
