I double box WoW. I figured I would get the best performance putting one instance of WoW on one hard drive, and the other on a separate hard drive.
I have 3 physical hard drives, 2 are on the mobo's sata, and one is on the other sata (promise?).
I put WoW on the mobo's sata and the other on the promise one. And for some reason it didn't perform very well at all, especially when loading zones or busy areas at the same time. Which is quite odd, as it has the ability to read two hard drives, shouldn't it be more stressful if it read all that data off one hard drive for two instances of WoW?
Nope, I decided to run both instances of WoW off the same HD and it went much faster. Not sure why that is. I bet both instances would run even faster if I got an X2.....
