that ASUS card is the ultra, it has a 1 slot HSF but it isn' the one slot cooler that is reference for the ultra, it is a cut down version of the ultra cooler

oh please...

there are no signs of the x800 Pro at ANY of my Comp USA (2 local stores), Best Buy (4 local stores) or Circuit City (4 local stores) locations at all so dont give me that.

ATi and nVidia are just "juicin" the customer up making us wait and wait until they damn well feel like mass producing those cards.

for Christ's sakes, it isnt like they just designed those cards last month or anything like that... they've had more than enough time to at least supply some stock to the major big guns like BB or Comp USA but they havent. at least not in my area.....

Hey Flocke I am in the same boat as you counting the days till the Outpost backorder ends. I got on the list early so I hope it comes in soon. Either way you cant beat that price with a crowbar. :)

Well as far as the pro is concerned you can buy a saphire right now on zipzoomfly for 435.00 I have a platinum on order so I passed.

In addition I think the wait is almost over. I have a "freind" who has some connnections and he has 10 ATI Retail box pro's available right now at 439.00 I just might get one if my next Gateway ship date evaporates yet again.

Why should I feed them? It's their fault for propping up an oppressive government that supports making everyone poor. It's just a matter of time til the revolution starts ;)

If I was going to get a $500 video card (I'm poor) I'd have to save up for it.
