Ok,, This proves to me that ati needs alot of work on there linux drivers..My matrox g550 is 15-20% faster on average under linux than my 9200. I know there both shabby cards, Im not trying to deny that so dont flame me. Im just stating this because under windows my 9200 is 10-15% faster. So a huge diffrence between platforms.
Ati drivers under windows are great, but now ive proved to myself that there is somthing fundamentally wrong with there linux implementation of them. Im a linux guru also, so i know that ive tweaked and set the drivers up perfictly,,,this is sad indeed. A lowly comparason of 2 directX 8 cards,,,and the g550 with its 1/2 ass hardware T&L unit beat the pants off the fully functioning 9200
