I'm setting up an Apex and when I first fired it off the pump was nice and quiet but due to intense foaming I lowered the pump down to 1 to let the bubbles settle out. After that when I cranked the pump back up to 5 it started making the dreaded whine.

I'm clueless here as to why it's doing that damned whine, I can hear it over 2 PCs running and one has a D5 in it that's quiet as heck on 5.

Any ideas?

I spoke to Swiftech and their opinion is that the pump is damaged in some way so that means I've got to wait on a replacement, No big deal.

At least I've gotten it resolved.
