one day i turn on my computer and you know how when it starts, it says, how fast your cpu is and all. well this one day it said that it was 1250MHZ. wat da hell? my AMD is 2000+ which should be well over 1600MHZ. and i remember when it use to say 2000+ but now it just says MHZ. what happened?
 
yeah it did. how do i get it back up? i cant change it. what is it suppose to be? 133 MHZ?
 
My 2000+ does that too, sometimes it reads as 1250MHz, sometimes a 2000+ and sometimes wierdly enough it comes up as a 2400+.
 
omg i need help. so i changed it to 166/133 and now it doesnt even give a signal.!! what happened? im on my roomies computer because my comp wont work anymroe! it turns on but it doesnt anymore. is it the cpu? or motherboard? what happened?!?!
 
Clear the BIOS and change it to 133/133.

Think of what the 166/133 setting would do; read the MB manual as well, that will tell if you, if you don't get it already.
 
Grab the motherboard manual, find the section that it talks about jumpers and other onboard item placements. Look for the CMOS jumper.

Make sure your computer is unplugged, pop the CMOS jumper from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3, wait a few seconds/minute, then put it back to pins 1-2 again. Plug back in and turn on.
