I just want to make sure i did the right thing here.
Ok, i built a system a few days ago and here are the specs.

Epox 9NDA+ (NF4 Ultra)
Venice 3000+ cooled by Arctic cooling freezer 64 with AS5
2 Gigs crucial pc3200
2 WD Cavier 7200 80 GB in Raid 0
Sapphire X850XT
SB Audigy 2 Zs
Klipsch 2.1
Sony IDE DVD-RW
Sony IDE DVD-ROM
floppy
PCI wireless card
Razor Dback gaming mouse
Saitek Gamers keyboard
Samsung 990DF 19" CRT
I bought a pretty cheap case by Raidmax that is actually pretty cool, it holds 8 80mm fans. I am using thermaltake 80mm with blue LEDS

Then i bought a cheap ass Thermaltake 420W PSU for like 35 bucks because i wasnt thinking.

Anyway, blue screens and crashes were rampent. I couldnt OC without crashing like all hell.
I unplugged half my fans and i can run fairly stable now.

I ordered a Seasonic S12-500 the other day to remedy the problem. It comes tomorrow.

I figure this was the right solution. My other question is this: Why wont my ram run stable at stock timings @ 1t. Could the PSU be causing that also?? Thanks.

Have you run memtest yet? If not go do that now, let it run for a while.

A flakey PSU can make alot of crazy things happen, but I would check the ram too just to be safe.

What happened to the PSU that came with the case?

You could at least use it to troubleshoot.

With a 3000+ and a X850XT and 2 optical drives and 2 HDD's, you're not really all that demanding on the power supply. But certainly the Seasonic is a wise buy as it's more than enough power, efficient, runs cool and is just all around a great power supply.

Also: Im sure 2GB of RAM = multiple sticks. Try knocking that down some. Like 512MB or 1GB at a time and see if the problem goes away.
