I'm having this issue with a new computer:
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

The computer is a brand new build:
Intel Core i3:2030 HD2000
Foxconn H67S mini-ITX mobo
8GB of Patriot Memory RAM

It does not have a video card at all... it is using onboard video withe Core i3.

I plugged in a BlackMagic Intensity Pro capture card and I am having trouble getting it working. The error message I posted above is what is being listed in the system devices menu. There is no video card, there is 8 GB of ram, and there is nothing plugged into the USBs. Why is this happening?

Try clearing your mobo's CMOS by removing the battery for about a minute, then putting it back in. Go into your bios on boot and load the default config. See if that helps.

The BIOS is on default config... I have disabled a TON of services on the machine though... would that make a difference?

The problem is probably bios level. Clear your CMOS by unplugging your computer's Power Supply cord and removing the battery from your mobo for a minute, put it back in and see if that helps. Its just the way your computer is assigning assets to your hardware, so I'd try the CMOS clear first. Its simple to do

Okay, I am trying that now... is pulling the battery enough? I see there is a jumper pin for clearing the CMOS.

Nope... didn't work. Worked the first time. Then the next time I restarted my computer, it broke again.

Updating the BIOS appears to have worked... for now.

Why would updating the BIOS help?
