This Case? Or This Case? Help.

I think they are both pretty ugly but it really is all your personal opinion...

Go with case A if you like transformers...

Go with case B if you like aliens lol

The first one is the lesser of the 2 evils, but what is it with these guys who design these things, they need some major design training..

you guys are a lot of help
Well I'll go out on a limb here but the vast majority of people here don't like that sort of case since they are butt ugly. Lian-Li/ Coolermaster are in the "ubber case" category while the rest of us poor slobs get Antec/Chieftec cases and mod the hell out of them. Right now I have no case, I took apart my old Antec case in-order to "reverse enginner" myself a new case.

If your interested I have some ideas that are for another forum member that wanted some blueprints for his case made up.

Silverstone
Lian Li
Coolermaster
Kingwin

My preferences, in that order. Sleek aluminum cases with minimalist looks are what float my boat. Blue power LEDs, maybe a window, and clean, sleek look are what I prefer.

LOL....no really, don't beat around the bush....

It all depends on what type of case you're looking for. We can't offer any 'user opinions' of that case because it's highly unlikely (note CrimandEvil's statement) that any of us own one. We either

1. Buy a cheap ass Antec/Chieftec and (try to, and sometimes succeed) mod the hell out of it to something of our liking or

2. Buy a slick ass CoolerMaster/Lian Li/Silverstone and leave it the hell alone....for the most part

Option 1 is a helluva lot more fun while fairly cheap. Lian Li makes really nice cases, but IMHO, are VERY plain, which makes them a modder's dream.

My suggestion, get a cheap case, get a vison of what you'd like, get some advice (hey, you're here already) and get to modding.

I own a Wavemaster that I love, but Silverstone is certainly tempting me to spend money I don't have....I'm like Mad_Pyro, I like the sleek, minimalist look that doesn't scream "Pay attention to me" but rather draws your eye over it slowly. Figure out what you like and ask advice.

HOLY CRAP MY EYES!!!!!!!!!1111one

IT BURNS!!!!!!!!!

Seriously... put a warning lable on the beasts next time...

If you would like to learn more about those two cases then I would suggest trying a little search engine I like to call Google. You will be able to find links to various websites that have reviewed those cases which should be able to answer any questions you might have.

I will agree with the other posters in that most people on this forum would not have either of those cases shoved up their respective asses. I also agree that the sleek aluminum look is nice but a little expensive so I have been resurrecting older cases and modding the crap out of them. If you want a suggestion I would go with the Antec P160 or Sonata, or any of the CoolerMaster Praetorians.

Good luck.

Alright, so the first case isn't going to win a beauty contest, but the second has nothing wrong with it. Looks are a matter of opinion, but I was looking more at performance opinions rather than looks opinions. I am aware of google but do not have a lot of time at the moment to go searching for reviews, those aren't always accurate either. I thought maybe some of the nice folks at hardocp could help me out.

Oh, and the case is for my older brother who I'm building a system for, he wants a cool futuristic looking case.

And I'm not modding a case, I don't know how and don't have the time to learn, however relatively easy it may be.

these cases look a little childish to me...........but hey to each his own........if those r the only 2 options u have then the 2nd one...................i would look into thermaltake cases ...personally i have never owned one but i think they will speak to your taste

Actually I don't want any case shoved up my ass. Not even a SFF.

Of the two cases, I actually like the second one. More specifically for a server or my kids case, it would be pretty decent. Not $168 decent, but if about half that, I could see it in some sort of a theme area.

A case with dual 120's will get you the best airflow and low noise, but that may not what you are after. Are you wanting to do major modification or stay with mostly stock? Do you have tools and work areas to do the mods?

Wow, I didn't notice the price for it. $168 for that POS? If your going to spend that kind of money you should use it to get a Lian-Li case.

....Baka.....

What makes the Raidmax a POS? And none of those cases you suggested appeal to me at all. You might think they look good, but I don't, same with the cases I picked.

Don't take offense a case that apeals to you might not to me. I don't like the Alienware cases and the Raidmax is a knock off of that- I think both of those cases are really ugly and gaudy.

I didn't, but just the fact that you don't like the way it looks doesn't make it a POS.

I own this case. It looks better in person. Cools great, not a loud case and its roomy.

they are both fugly sorry to tell ya
It looks like he found a better one, the Coolermaster ripoff. No more need to post such stupid things, DR K13.

Of the two you picked, the Raidmax is probably the best, despite being the ugliest thing...well, yeah. The two 120mm fans are nice, but $168 is insane for that thing. I have a Raidmax 268 something and the thing has terrible airflow, and I just ordered a new Cooler Master Centurion 5 instead.

I would recommend a cheaper Antec or Chieftech case or something, but if you really must have one of those, then the Raidmax is the better choice.
