simple home workgroup here.
all pc's run xp pro cept the new dell.
the new dell is the wifes pc.
on her old pc i can access via sharing her documents and settings folder from my PC
add delete whatever I wanted.to do . on the new dell I cannot. I turned off simple file sharing
made the share on that folder and still cannot get into it from my Pc.
no software firewalls running. also the program files on the c drive is off limits,
what I want is to be able to change add delete any file in any folder on the new dell.
I had the ability on the old PC.
I am running XP PRo on mine
edit the new dell is running media center
 
Make sure they are within the same workgroup? Sounds like an issue w/ the networking options on the media center pc.
