This a good choice?

I want a good psu thatwon't make my pc restart. I had this problm for 2 years.. Every PSU I bought as weak.

I wanna get this thermaltake, even tohugh people say it is unrecommended, people gave it great reviews..

Check it out

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817153015

Specs:

Abit AV8
AMD 64 3400+
Geforce 6600GT
2GB PC3200 OCZ Ram

(I currently own a Apsire 500 Watt Piece of shit)..

THANKS!!!

22A on the +12V. Avoid. ATX12V v1.3 or even v1.2 spec compliance here. $109 too! There's a reason why most Thermaltake PSUs get only mixed reviews. We need to know what you're going to be doing with your rig. Are you looking for low-noise output, are you looking for overclocking headroom, are you going to be going the SLI route, do you require bling-bling, etc.

Some suggestions in the same price range that will be much better than that Thermaltake:

Post back with your response and we'll see what we can do.

I am a pc gamer! I don't OC, I don't need bling-bling but it would be nice lol.. I would like to keep the noise low!

And those 12V rails only had like 18..

For the best power supply testing check out silent pc review. Seasonic supplies are rated number one for low noise, low heat production and high efficiency.

I want a really cool looking and great performing power supply.. So are there any nice LED Seasonic psu's?? Link??

Those are dual +12volt rails @ 18amps for a total of 36amps :p

The fellas in this forum don't mess around ;)

Be sure to look for: +12v 1 and +12v 2 then combine those 2 numbers for an acurrate rating.

Seasonic PSUs aren't meant to be pretty, so they don't come with cheap LED fans. You won't need one in your PSU anyway, focus on lighting your case instead, you'll get better results that way. I'd shoot for the Seasonic S12 series... though the Antec TruePower II is also an attractive option with the 3% load regulation and low-noise output.

88F is just over 30C... is that your case temperature?

I am American, celsius is our secondary unit.. But yeah it is my case tempertaure.. Please post links for PSU's!! :):):):)!!

I am American too, but in Science and technology Celsius is used ;)

That case temperature can come down a bit... 30C is up there.

You have five links to look at in the very first reply.

I prefer the Seasonic S12-500, but you said earlier that you wanted an LED-type PSU, and the Antec does offer that.

Well, it may be a different problem.. When I turn on my pc, it will restart like 2 or 3 times.. I think it is the power supply.. But it happened with my old one.. So I bought mine and it still happens.. It won't restart once I am IN widnows but at login it will restart.. Do you think it is the PSU?? if not I can save money!

Could be a heat problem, could be not enough voltage to the CPU... are you overclocking that setup?

No I don;t overclock.. I doubt it is a heating problem because it restarts AS SOON as I turn on my pc and try to login.. but it has been runnin for like 5/6 hours and it doesn't restart.. Only when I first turn it on.. Does that sound like a PSU problem?? I hate wasting money!

It happens when I turn it on... And I reinstalled windows like a million times in the past while I had this problem, and it doesn't go away!

Have you change any setting in the bios? If I set one of my setting (system performance)to any thing but normal it causes my system to reboot after the windows boot screen every time. Try reseting you bios to factory settings, then only disable the stuff you need to.
