A new study says that thinking makes you hungry. That may explain why computer nerds are always snacking and super models don’t eat anything at all.

A study in the journal Psychosomatic Medicine contends that intellectual work—that’s right, I’m calling writing this stuff, ya know, intellectual—induces a big increase in caloric intake. The research had 14 Canadian students do three things at different times: sit and relax; complete a series of memory and attention tests; and read and summarize a text.

On top of that, the brain only uses glucose as food meaning when it uses large amounts of energy your blood-sugar level drops and hunger is triggered.

The brain can use ketones as well, but cannot use them completely. (The google told me so)

A masters in what fashion and design? Or a nuclear physicist? Saying you got a 4.0 degree in picking up garbage isnt exactly something to brag about.

Yes, the brain can run off of ketones once in ketosis, after about 36 hours without iyou ingesting any glycemic carbs (your body's glycogen stores have to run out too). Try the ketogenic diet (commonly, Atkins) sometime, and I think you'll find your brain is a lot clearer (once in ketosis - during induction, it's a nightmare) than it is dealing with the ups and downs of blood sugar levels.
