Thinking about selling my rig...input needed.

Not sure if this is in the right section, didn't see an Off Topic or whatever so hopefully this is OK.

What do ya'll think is a fair price for everything in my signature minus the hard drive?

I'd say about 400/500ish$?

But that's just me. Perhaps parting out could yield higher benefits?

I would agree that parting it out would get you more cash in the long run, but selling it altogether gets you a lump sum at once. The problem is that, IMHO, you are not going to get enough cash for your rig to make it worth it. This is how I break it down:

(these are just estimates)
Mobo= ------------------------------------$50-ish
CPU= -------------------------------------$30-ish
HDD= -------------------------------------$40-ish
PSU= -------------------------------------$50-ish
Sound Card= ---------------------------$15(?)-ish
Video Card= ----------------------------$120-ish
Memory= --------------------------------$50-ish
Case= ------------------------------------$25-ish
Fans, Zalman Heatsink, etc.------$40-ish
Monitor= ---------------------------------$100-ish

That comes to a total of $520. Pretty sad, huh? I'm sure it is worth more than that to YOU. Which is why I don't bother selling my old stuff. In the computer world, the technology is advancing so fast and product value is dropping so fast, that as soon as you purchase an upgrade and install it, the value drops by half, and the next new thing is already out. I just keep all my old stuff and give it to my girlfriend, my kids, or my mom, or use it for something else, like a network file server, or an HTPC in the living room, whatever. Plus I always keep a spare something for when parts crap out in my main rig, so that I am not SOL until I can replace it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
