Thinking about purchasing a GC

So I was thinking about purchasing a GC for relatively cheap off ebay. But I also figure, why not wait for the Wii since it will play GC games. I was wondering what you guys thought. I'm leaning towards just buying the GC and some games I want to play and then selling the GC when the Wii comes out. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

I'd say wait for the Wii, but I also know that feeling of wanting to play something right away. Now, granted if you get the Cube, you could still get a solid 6 months out of it before the Wii is out and you would have some games already that you could still play on the Wii.

i think the gc is going to drop in price in a week or so, so i'd wait for that if you want a new console. other than that, the gc is a great, cheap console, with plenty of great games. i find the gc is great for those times you and a bunch of friends are hanging out and have nothing to do, especially if a lot of those friends don't game as much.

The Gamecube is cheap. REALLY cheap compared to the other consoles. If there are games on it you want to play, then I'd say go for it. You'll get a few great months out of it before the Wii is out, and it doesn't feel like a waste because it is just soo damn cheap :)

Definitely get Res Evil 4 :D

Just wait for the wii unless theres something for it that you absolutly cant wait to play (but I figure if that was the case you'd have a GC already).

Reasons I bought a GC: RE4, Metroid Prime 1 (2 is good too, but 1 is awesome), Pikmin 1/2, Zelda: Wind Waker, Eternal Darkness

Plus there's also all of the Mario games and Super Smash Brothers

I'd say if you have $100 burning a hole in your pocket go for it. It'll probably drop in price this month. You can sell the cube for maybe $40 when the Wii is out and have little loss.
