I've never done anything like this before, but my exams are finished so I've got a lot of time and I thought I'd try this. I'm hopefully going to uni in october and I don't want to cart my ATX tower around. I thought about a laptop, but decided they're expensive and not good for upgradability. So I looked at Micro ATX cases, and they were still a bit on the large side for depth, and I wasn't sure about the PSUs. I only have 1 5.25" and 1 hard drive so I thought about how to get a mATX motherboard, ATX PSU, DVD burner, and hard drive etc into the smallest space possible. I came up with this.
The PSU would actually be moved to the left slightly so the DVD burner can get power. By my calculations, the cube should be roughly 22cm H, 30cm W, 26cm D, which is significantly less deep than most cases I've looked at.
I thought making it out of plexiglass would be cool, but I've never worked with it before? And I don't know where to buy it in the UK. Also if you could suggest fan positions and sizes that would be awesome thanks.
