I havent touched my system in over a year (which is a record for me) and i was looking into a processor upgrade from 2.4 to 3.0. I am wondering if anyone thinks its really worth the 200.00 upgrade?

Of course i could say the hell with it and just OC the 2.4C :D

Any comments

Try OC'ing the 2.4 first. No point in spending money on something you can do for free....

see sig :D

you can run at 3.2 with the stock heatsink. before you go spending money, work with what ya got.

well i tried the OC route and the system seems to pause or hiccup. Like something is out of timing and its waiting for something. I have pc3200 RAM and i run the buss @ 400Mhz and set the memory to 4:5 and set the system buss to 250Mhz.

Maybe i shoud get better RAM that will run @ 250Mhz

Oh the board i have is an IC7
