is there a reason why you want to replace your current northbridge heatsink? i had one inside my shuttle but decided to switch it back out because it was too loud.
 
I wanted to cool down my northbrigde heatsink too, I had one of those iceberg 4's lyin around. I knew i couldnt take the heatsink i had on and put the iceberg on since i have the clips, so i took the iceberg apart. i just used the little fan on the inside and got some thermal tape and pasted it on top of my heatsink, it is a whole lot cooler, doesnt burn the fingers anymore, and it gives a nice blue led light into my WC tubes.
 
how loud it is is subjective, but it is 5000rpm. i think your current northbridge heatsink should have no problem cooling your northbridge. also from the placement you could try mounting a fan on the front side of the heatsink so that it sucks air in from the front of the case and blows air through the northbridge heatsink and into the cpu fan with the cpu fan blowing air out the back.
