Heard 775 installation is pretty easy...cooling (slightly) better than the Z9700...

Thoughts?

The best aircoolers out there at the moment are the Tuniq Tower, Scythe Infinity, and Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme. Any of those three will be better than the V1 or the 9700.

probably.... but you should probably be careful, no chucking your computer around

I would also consider the Enzotech Ultra-X. Its large, but lower profile than the tuniq tower or TR 120 Extreme. I have read/heard that it performs better than the tuniq tower and almost on par with the TR 120 Extreme. Another bonus is that it comes with AS5.

I like the TTower, but too freakin' big...

I don't like the way the fan hangs on the Ultra...

Yeah that enzo looks good. Id be all over it if it didnt weigh 835grams and cost $70.

But then I suppose thats fairly similar to the 120 extreme and Tuniq tower.

The Tuniq is actually closer to $50, though it's pretty difficult to find. It's definitely the best value out of all the top-of-the-line CPU coolers.

since you were looking a thermaltake product you mgiht look at the Big typhoon and the VX version, the Hexus guys just did a review of about 25 coolers and the typhoon came out on top. besting both the ultra-120 and the TTower, http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=8757&page=115

I just picke up the typhoon and will be overclocking my cpu soon.
