I just got my new XP-90 w/a plain black fan. I've been looking for something to stick on top of it, and ran across these:

never seen one before in my life but it intrigues me. Wonder if this thing will fit on an xp-90.... the fan looks like it mounts funny.

the tornado is ridiculously loud & doesnt have a pre-wired controller. the ufo has a rheostat already wired in. also, as noobish as this sounds, I like the leds built into the ufo.

Yeah, I want something that looks really nice. I'm not so sure if I buy the 80CFM rating, but if it can rate at 50 I would be pretty happy. I think I like the asthetics of this thing, but I'm curious about real noise and effectiveness. So anyone own one?

it should be here tomorrow; i heard dual fan design centers the airflow so it should perform better then similar cfm single fan design (theoreticaly)

im putting it on a k4h waffer copper hs on rig in sig; and I like hte asthetics (matches rest of comp)

its similar to what you posted; I will post how well it performs vs a standard 3200rpm fan (noise probably a non factor less its really loud methinks, so unless I comment on it, it wouldnt bothre me...)

I picked one up for my thermalright heatsink a few months back. Huge mistake.

It has 6 LEDs on the top of the fan grill that blink white and blue.
6 really, really, really, bright leds that blink blue and white.
that blink in no short pattern, that blink constantly, and forever.

There is no off switch for the LEDs. It doesn't matter where you put the computer, if you have a window, you are going to see the blinking. The damn light bounces around my office like its a strip club.
All from just the 6 white and blue LEDs on this thing.
