Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and also new to water cooling. I have a question about the Thermaltake RL240 kit that I hope someone can help me with. With the compression fittings that come with the kit, the install should look like this:

In many instances shown online however, the install looks like this instead.

I prefer the look of the second pic as the install looks so much cleaner. I know this install is using extra compression fittings not included in the kit but being completely new to this, I cannot figure out what fittings would be required for this install.

For starters, is it possible that the CPU block fittings are swivel types? Anyways, would anyone be able to help me by telling me what extra fittings would be required for this install?

Thanks.

Those are "Y" type fittings not swivel, just like the used in the Radiator Output and the Pump. (in the second image)

These are the Thermaltake fittings shown in the image, but you could just use any brand fittings of the same type if you want (You are looking for 3 45's and 1 90 degree fitting, also some extensions for the one coming off the radiator).

3x: Pacific G1/4 45 Degree Adapter
1x: Pacific G1/4 90 Degree Adapter

Alternative:
4x: Pacific G1/4 45/90 Degree Adapter
4x: Pacific G1/4 Stop Plug

Also:
1x: Pacific G1/4 30mm Male to Female Extender
1x: Pacific G1/4 20mm Male to Female Extender

I could be wrong on the Extenders, they sell 30 / 20 / 10 it looks like the 30 and the 20 to me though assuming that is a standard 25mm fan. The Thermaltake fittings *are* swivel types aka rotary fittings, in that they can be rotated around to any orientation while still being tightened all the way. I have not seen this new lineup of stuff from Thermaltake, it looks surprisingly decent.

Thanks for the very informative answer. I checked the Thermaltake website and the fans are indeed 25mm.
