Yesterday Thermaltake decided to show off a prototype for a low-cost computer refrigeration system or "Phase" as most enthusiasts would say. Could Thermaltake be getting into the sub-ambient business ? With this prototype I cant honestly say I believe anyone will buy it. Anyone with half a brain that is, With a compressor that small and the refrigerant running through what looks to be one of their waterblocks that nobody wants you would be lucky to keep your temperatures below ambient and I highly doubt that thing can properly cool any modern CPU...

That thing probably SUCKS !!! lol

The compressor is tiny!!!

I don't know.. it might not perform as well as some of the more elaborate Phase systems but I'm sure it'll be helpful. I'd get one if I wasn't so broke just for the heck of it.

I like the idea of it being compact though and actually fitting neatly in a case. But not sure how well that will get rid of the heat being tiny. Hopefully it will be a decent product and help folks out.

Good Day
