Thermaltake Armor Case, any thoughts?

I really like the “server” look, my current case is the cc986 raidster ... and it is time for a new computer (AMD this time around). While I was on Thermaltake website, I stumbled on the Armor series, and ive got some questions…

Is this a decent case? Please, let me know how it is working for you!

Does it have the same flimsy panels as the Shark and the Tsunami?

Anyone have any big, close up pictures? The ones I’ve found all are small…

Wire management... easy, medium, or hard?

Do you all think it will be able to flow enough to keep a fx55 or 53 with a tiny bit of over clock air cooled (thinking bout the Thermalright XP-120 CPU HS) ?

thanks mate, I went through the first 50 or so Google results and didn’t find much besides retailers with the same 4 pictures. After looking at your link I added "review" and got some more results.

Anyway, is the Antec Truepower a decent PSU? and if not, what is... its been so long that I have lost track.
 
I have the black version of the armor series....personally, i love it. there is plenty of room on the inside....all of my cables are neat.....plenty of cooling....it runs at room temp on the inside...the entire front bezel is one big intake with help from the moveable hard drive cage...that has a 120mm fan on it...this way no matter where your harddrives are they have a dedicated fan to them...it also comes with three exhuast fans...a 120mm and two 90mm...the front bezel has filters on the back side of the drive covers to minimize dust....forces dust to collect on the front before it can come in, so all you need is a small rag to wipe it off every once in a while.....the black one is made of steel while the silver is aluminum...sure this means my case is heavier than most....but sturdy as hell....the only thing you need screws for is to mount the mobo and mount the hard drvies in their cage...for a truly nifty effect the front face plates which are mesh, have a center 3.5" rectangle that comes out for any of those floppy drives and such....so the edge of those faces will be surrounded by mesh....i really like it, some people bash thermaltake....i don't know why....you shouldn't judge a company's products from one bad expieriance
 
I just got my TT Armor case, and started the modding madness......I think it is going to be hella great for everything, I had invisioned a lot for it, and it looks like it will all work out.
 
I've seen countless threads on TT Armor versus Coolermaster Stacker. Perhaps you might want to consider the Stacker as well???? I've got one and I love it.

the dust out and eventually I want to put artwork from Johnny the Homicidal Maniac on the right side,
the Armor "doors" and the panes of the window.

i just ordered my silver armor a couple of days ago and will probably start monting the mobo and stuff shorty after i get it. Are there any does or donts i should know about it?
 
I was debating this and the (old) stacker. The only thing I *really* like about the stacker more is that slot where you are supposed to be able to install the long fan on the mobo tray, you could easily push that out and route the cables behind the mobo with the stacker.

edit: I realized this doesnt make a lot of sense without a picture

i was thinking about buying the armor too.
i looked into the armor, masstige, 3d aurora, and finally the stacker 810. After a long process of pro's and cons of each i bought the stacker...although the armor was my second pick.

i think in the end i liked having the dual 120mm fans in the back, and having the USB ports on the front, not hanging down from the top.
 
I got a TJ07 about a month ago, and I frickin love it. ;( A tad on the pricy side, but man is this case awesome. I'd at least look into it and see what you think.
 
I've been looking at all of these (from the Armor, Kandalf, Masstige, Stacker, etc) for my HTPC Server. From what I can tell, the Armor & Kandalf are the same except for the front. I have a TT Shark for my gaming rig, love the thing. The armor's wings don't really serve a purpose, so I wasn't sure about that one. The Kandalf has a full front that kinda looks like a high-tech entertainment subwoofer/system, so with a little modding - like a square LCD to the tube, and you have a cool HTPC case to not hide in the closet. The rest are pretty much just like the Armor/Kandalf without the front door/flaps. For the most part, ALL the reviews I've read like all of these cases. They seem to be pretty well setup right out of the box, with room for lots of expansion.
 
All the reviews of this case say the front panels can be taken off. First off do they lock into place and feel sturdy, and can you open a standard CD drive without it hitting the panels? Most importantly does anyone have any pictures of this case without the panels. I'm just curious why they were even included, and what the case looks like with them off.

you can take them off, but I think it looks better with them on. You can open a CD tray, but I would make sure they don't get caught when it closes. I have my case in pieces at the moment to work on modding the thing.
 
I'm licking this new Cooler Master case . NewEgg just got it in.

I just can't fricking decide between the

Armor
Armor Jr.
Shark
Kandalf
and this new one from CM.

I just want something thats not cramped when I try to install a new part and something that looks nice.
