Im getting ready to buy a new rig and wanted to OC a e6420, and so far the thermalright ultra 120 with a 120mm fan seems to be best. according to a lot of reviews, it's heavy, and safer to use support.. i dont get how it could be supported to not flex the mobo
 
I have the Ultra120 extreme, which is almost identical, just heavier. It comes with a backplate that you screw into, which keeps it secure.

The only thing you may need to watch out for is if you move the computer, just make sure you do it slowly, to minimize any physical stress you may put on the motherboard.

But overall, it's very secure, and I haven't had any problems with it.
