Hello, I own a Pressure Vault Bracket System from Thermalright but due to the frequent seating and re-seating of my cooler the bolts became worn and I cannot easily screw/unscrew them (at all). Thermalright is beyond reach unfortunately, they never respond to mails so what else can I do/try to get those bolts?

And in general how can I come in contact with thermalright they seem some pretty hard to find folk, even though -I'm sure- they may be sitting on a mountain of such (relatively easy to make) replacement parts...

Since I have an account in neither, "nah, not really". Given that to be the case though do you know for a fact that they respond there? Because if not I'm too lazy to get in the trouble to create an account there (plus the people who're in control of Facebook are creepy folk, as a rule I stay away from such companies).

They did reply on Facebook (as i experienced myself) so you should give it a try.

I tried, they didn't reply there either. Is there any other way find those parts? I have paid for the retention system quite a lot (having it shipped from the other end of the world) and I wouldn't like to have it disabled due to such a small, silly part...

That's the one I have... shipping to my country is 30 dollars, quite a hefty amount to pay for a couple of bolts, don't ya think?

Anyhow, thanks for the interest. And generally it's too bad that/if Thermalright likes to be out of reach, there are other companies out there which would everything in their power to help you. I'd keep it in mind for which company to prefer in the future...

BTW do you know any forum that one/any of the thermaltake stuff like to hang out?

Then go to the hardware store & pick up 4 nuts that fit the threaded studs. If I remember correctly, when I put my Archon on with that kit, I tightened those nuts all the way down & made the final adjustments with the center nut & wrench. The spacing between the bracket with the studs & the bracket with the center nut is 5/32" when the nuts are tightened all the way down. So to be safe & not bust your socket put a nut on each of the studs you're using first & measure at least 5/32" from the top of the stud bracket to the top of the nut. It doesn't have to be perfect since the center nut will take up the slack & hold your cooler down. This is going from memory so proceed at your own risk, but that's the space I just measured between the brackets when the nuts in question are tightened all the way down. So when you tighten the nuts when your cooler is on. The cooler should still twist slightly by hand & then the center nut should finish the tightening.

@Dantrax: To tell you the truth I tried but I was not able to find a nut that was an exact fit. I did find close fits but as you well commented I found it a bit risky to trust them (after all my cooler + the double fan setup is a quite a heavy thing). You're right the center nut takes most of the "beating" (weight on its soulders) but I cannot trust it, at least not on its own (w/t the support of the two other bolts)... aaah, I'll see what I'll do, it would had been so much easier if there was f****ing support for the product I f****ing own...anyhow...

Well I'm not sure the thread is metric. It may be usa standard which is in inches. So the correct size nuts may not available in your local shop.

They responded for an instant (on Facebook), and they did agree to send the items in question. However when I tried to contact them again so that to give them my details and they went silent once again. There's a week now that I'm awaiting for their response...

I've also tried "custom" bolts but none of them worked nearly as well as the ones provided from Thermaltake, unfortunately -it seems- I'm stuck. If anyone has any such bolts to spare I would be happy to have a couple (or even one if need be), I can pay the shipping...

I'm desperate, summer is upon us and my CPU does 60 C when it's idle, I *need* a good cooling solution and I don't have the money to buy one from scracth. Just one bolt missing and the stubbornness of a company would be enough to lose my trusty i7 after 4 summers (counting this one).

I 'd make a note never to buy from them again ... damn.
