Hey all, on my system, with my Thermalright SLK-948u, my temperatures are at approximately 30 idle, 35+ load....I have a panaflow fan on my heatsink....

My friend, wanted the quietest setup possible, so he only bought a Vantec Stealth for his thermalright fan. He has the same setup as me...

P4 2.4C, on asus p4c800-e deluxe.

His temps are 40 idle and 48ish load. I think it' sbecause he only has a stealth on that heatsink, or could there be anything else wrong...we both have AS5 applied.

Thanks.

what size stealth is it?
well it doesnt really matter but the Stealth does not push enuf air to get those low temps that he may desire

Nothing is wrong.
And noting your temps is 35c and his is 48 is irrelevant. You may have the same heatsink, but it's not the same processor, not the same motherboard-sensor (not even the same platform), and quite possibly there's a considerable difference in room temps. There are other factors.

So it's definitely NOT only the differences in fans you've used.
