I am building a new SB computer.

CoolerMaster HAF X case
Intel SB 2600K
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
8GB Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB (I want 1.5v RAM modules) cannot buy G.SKILL as they arnt imported to my country.

So I'm looking for the best air cooler for overclocking that I can fit.

I know that the Noctua NH-D14 dosent fit (because of the vengeance ram)..

Anyone know if I can squeeze in a Thermalright Silver Arrow if I dont use the 1 memory slot closest to the CPU? (ill use the secondary dual channel slots).

Or should I just stick with Thermalright Archon for better memory space?

I am not planning on going above 4.5ghz for now..

If you don't plan on going above 4.5 GHz, you can get away with 1.3V or less. And at that voltage, you're not going to go above 65C with a good cooler. At least, that's my experience with the Ven-X.

I have the same MB and the Archon. It blocks the first memory slot though I am using Corsair Dominator ram. Pretty tall heat sinks on them. If you have lower profile ram they may fit. The second and fourth slots are the primary slots (blue) so since I am only running 4 GB it's OK, but I may have to get creative if I need to go with more ram.

Ah ok thanks...

I will be using 2x 4GB only.. so Im good as well I guess.. thanks for your input.
