thermaletake question, need suggestions

i have a Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS

1) I removed the HD bay next to the psu, was this a good idea or should i put the HD bay back?
2) I put my HD, 250 gb 7200rpm, in the HD bay at the front. I put it in the middle secetion, will it be better in the top, middle, or bottom?
3) People who own this case will prob know this, in each driver bay cover there is little holes and then on the inside there is foam padding. should i remove the foam or keep it?

ps ever since i did this my cpu seemed to drop 2C and my gfx raised 3c, idel temps
 
my 2 cents : 2 and three degrees C is not a big change and the graphics card should take the extra 3 as long as its not insanely hot already and the cooler the cpu the better
 
Get an extra front hard drive cage like i did so you have 2 120mm intake fans in the front.:p I didnt really think only 1 intake for that huge case was sufficient. I have both my cages with the fans as far down as I could(left the toolbox thing at the very bottom). And yes leave the foam in the bay covers, thats the filters so no dust gets in there. And if your not using that top back hard drive cage you dont need it in there, I took mine out.
 
i dont think that will help much considering i hide my cables inside those empty cddrves.

Howdy.

I've got a TT Kandolph and was wondering where you got the extra front HDD cage. I'd like to add an extra 120mm intake. I could be wrong, but I think the front HDD cage is the same for the Armor and Kandolph cases. Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks.
 
im not blockin my intake fan. the wires r in the empty cd drives above the intake fan.
 
Ah I get it now. Unless your using an insane amount of cd drives or other front panel bays, getting another internal cage shouldnt mess with your places of hiding the cables. I've got 2 dvd drives, a light controller, and the toolbox at the bottom, along with a fan controller in the bay with the power/reset buttons and the 6 bays with the 2 cages. If I wanted I could take out the toolbox and have room for something else(which I doubt I would even need).
 
That foam works wonders. Within a week that thing collects dust like a mofo! The worst part is i can barely see it because the dust kind of blends in with the color of the drive covers, i only discovered it when i was testing out some new CCFL's. I collected all the dust i got off those covers and it was an insane amount and just to image, that would be inside my computer..

i have my hard drives at the top next to the psu, mostly because i originally drew up a design for my ide and sata cables. this is what i did with the empty drives in the front:
