i have some ram sinks i made to attach to the ram on my video card, but the only thing remaining is how to attach them
the two local computer shops dont have epoxy or tape in stock, and i would order from bigfoot, but i dont feel like spending over 10 bux just to 2grams of arctic silver epoxy

i read about 3m frag tape, so i was curious if its something you can find at radio shack or home depot
is there any known substitute for thermal tape or epoxy, that is widely available and cheap?

You could use something ghetto like thermal paste with a rubber band holding the heatsinks on. Or, put small dots of elmers glue on the edges of the ram and arctic silver in the middle. That's what I did for my SB and it works quite well.

Put a really small amount of thermal paste in the center and put 4 small dots of Super Glue on each corner of the ram chip. It's enough to hold the ramsink on tight but if you have to get it off it should twist off with only a little pressure.

I've actually just used Super Glue to attach ramsinks before.. it dries in such a thin layer that it does a rather "okay" job of transfering heat to the heatsink.
