Hi, I never applyed my own thermal paste. Can someone one tell me how much to use and how to do it for the best results, please?

The general rule of thumb is a razor thin layer between the core and the heatsink base. Use a tiny amount, and get either a razor blade, or a credit card to spread it carefully to the point where you get a very consistant layer over the core.

What kind of thermal paste are you using?

artic silver. I was planning to put a bit of it in the middle and apply the heaksink... would this work well.. doing it on a AMD 64 bit
