Thermal Paste at Radio Shack???

Does Radio Shack carry thermal paste? I have heard that it does.

I went into the store today to find out, but, it was some old man that didn't know what the hell I was talking about.

So do they carry it? Link (radioshack website)

They carry it, but it sucks. Try to get something better if at all possible. I looked for it on their website, there is no mention of it.
 
If you're really stuck going to a store to buy your paste, a Frys, CompUSA, or even Best Buy might have Arctic Silver, so try that first. It would really be best to order some AS5 online, but if you have to have it...

Any chain retail 'computer' store will have it nowadays. They're catering to nublet bling case modders all of a sudden.. CompUSA, BestBuy, Circuit City (maybe?), Fry's will have 'em.

But the rat shack goop will do in a pinch. It's better than generic silicon goop, but marginally so.
 
Circuit city has nothing for computers around here, i know fry's has as5 and even ceramique around here tho. Think BB had some silver compound.

But the stuff at radioshack is fine, if you apply it correctly you shouldn't be able to tell any much difference from AS5, all that stuff is just gimmicks, unless you want something that isn't ever going to migrate then you get shin etsu. Thats about it tho.
 
Best buy only carries the Antec Silver Thermal Paste. Not AS5. I bought some in a pinch when I was cleaning my server.
 
ShepsCrook - Antec Formula 5 will perfrom identical to AS5 if you get my drift. ;)

yup yup.. i saw some radio shack paste yesterday when i was buying some LEDs... it looks shady... i wouldn't buy any of their computer products

Radio Shack paste is fine and performs well for your everyday thermal grease. I'd still go for the AS5 if I had the option. :)
 
NO!!! we must all hate on radio shack paste!! BOOOO radio shack!!! hehe let's get a flame war going.. lol j/k j/k j/k... :p
 
I did not know that. I'll have to have my friend who works at best buy pick some more up for me. :)
 
Antaec makes good PSUs. everything else they make are grey market rebadges. that they legitimize with their sticker.
