So yea I have a artic cooling rev 3 sitting on my desk waiting for my 7900gtx to come in the mail. I probably will end up modding the cooler to fit it (since its too big otherwise). But first I was planning on lapping it, the surface is a little too rough for my liking.
I figured I couldn't lap the thing unless I took off the stock thermal pads, but will they go back on after the lapping or will I have to purchase new ones? If I must buy new ones where can i get them?
These pads aren't like the ones for cpu heatsinks for you new jacks out there, they have a thickness to them 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch I apporximate.
Have any ideas?
