After you place the TG on the CPU body, how long do you need to wait, if any, before you place on the heatsink/fan?

Once you place the heatsink do you need to let it dry before you run the pc?

No need to wait.

The thermal paste won't dry if you use good paste like Artic silver.

I would suggest getting a tube of Artic Silver5 instead of using the generic white paste.

I don't know where you got the idea to wait after applying paste but it's silly. Put the heatsink on immediately after application. Same with waiting afterwards: there's no need to wait whatsoever.

And do get some better compound.

I got the idea because the paste on the retail is hard and dry. And, using retail CPU's mostly, I've never had to apply it before.

As far as one TG compared to the other, I'll take my chances with this white Jetart paste :D
